THE KAPPA CHAPTER OF DELTA SIGMA PI
ABOUT US

Delta Sigma Pi was founded in 1907 at the New York University School of Commerce, Accounts, and Finance by Harold Valentine Jacobs, Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello, and Henry Albert Tienken.
From the beginning, our Fraternity was built on the foundation of inclusivity—creating a brotherhood that welcomed individuals from diverse backgrounds at a time when many organizations imposed barriers to membership. Our greatest strength lies in our diversity, reflecting the ever-evolving business world we prepare our members to enter. By bringing together different perspectives and challenging conventional thinking, we foster innovation and excellence at both the chapter level and in professional spaces.
In 1975, Delta Sigma Pi became the first professional business fraternity to go co-ed, opening its doors to women. Today, we continue to welcome business students who meet our professional standards of admission, with policies that ensure inclusivity regardless of race, ethnicity, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
With over 300 collegiate and alumni chapters and a network of more than 260,000 members worldwide, Delta Sigma Pi remains a leading force in shaping the future of business.
